Location Details:  Murfeesboro, Arkansas

Murfreesboro, Arkansas, is uniquely known for its proximity to the Crater of Diamonds State Park, the only diamond-bearing site accessible to the public where you can search for and keep any gems you find. This park is famous for being the only diamond-producing site in the world open to the public, and over the years, visitors have found large and significant diamonds there, making it a popular destination for gem enthusiasts and tourists alike.

Adding to the charm of Murfreesboro is the concept of "Diamond Glamping." This is a glamping (glamorous camping) experience tailored specifically for those visiting the Crater of Diamonds. These accommodations provide a more luxurious camping experience, often featuring comfortable bedding, furniture, and sometimes even amenities like electricity and private bathrooms, which blend the rustic experience of camping with the comforts of modern living. This allows visitors to enjoy the natural beauty and adventurous experience of diamond hunting without sacrificing comfort.

The glamping sites are conveniently located near the Crater of Diamonds, making it easy for guests to walk or quickly commute to the park. This proximity allows visitors to spend maximum time hunting for diamonds while enjoying a serene and comfortable retreat close to the action. It's a unique blend of adventure and relaxation, attracting both avid gem hunters and those just looking for a unique getaway in nature.

In addition to diamond hunting at the Crater of Diamonds State Park, Murfreesboro offers a variety of other activities and local attractions that make it a well-rounded destination. Here are some notable activities and dining options to consider:

Ka Do Ha Indian Village - This educational attraction offers insights into the native cultures of the region. Visitors can explore ancient Indian burial mounds, learn about traditional crafts, and even participate in gem mining activities separate from those at the Crater of Diamonds.

Lake Greeson - Just a short drive from Murfreesboro, this lake is perfect for fishing, boating, and swimming. It's a great spot for relaxation or water sports, with beautiful scenic views of the surrounding Ouachita Mountains.

Murfreesboro RV Park - Besides serving as a camping site, the RV park often hosts local events and gatherings, making it a community hub for visitors and locals alike.

Swaha Lodge & Marina - Located on Lake Greeson, this is the place for renting boats or setting up guided fishing tours. It’s also a good starting point for hiking along scenic trails in the area.
