domegaia building method

Our building method is simple, sustainable, and radically accessible. Here's a high-level look at what sets it apart.

What Makes Our

building technique unique & efficient

Our building method isn’t just different—it’s more accessible, flexible, and sustainable than traditional construction.

one material, multiple functions

Aircrete serves both as structure and insulation, eliminating the need for multiple building components and simplifying the entire process.

fewer materials, fewer steps

Traditional buildings layer materials—framing, drywall, insulation, vapor barriers. Aircrete skips the stack and builds smarter.

composite wall strength

Though Aircrete is lightweight, our fiberglass-reinforced stucco exterior gives each dome surprising strength and long-term resilience.

dome shape = natural strength

Curved geometry isn’t just beautiful—it’s functional. Domes naturally resist wind, seismic activity, and load pressure without needing beams or corners.

diy-friendly

Our tools and guides are designed for beginners and pros alike—giving you the confidence to build without needing a contractor.

no toxic materials

Aircrete contains no VOCs, doesn’t off-gas, and creates naturally healthier indoor air.

long-term savings

With minimal maintenance, energy savings, and long-lasting materials, Aircrete domes lower utility bills and reduce repair costs over decades.

high visual appeal

The unique dome design stands out—making it a perfect draw for Airbnb stays, boutique rentals, and eco-tourism projects seeking something unforgettable.

the aircrete wall system

Smart From the Inside Out

Domegaia domes are solid, insulated structures built with fewer materials and simpler steps than traditional homes.

Instead of layering wood, insulation, and drywall, we stack lightweight Aircrete bricks that act as both structure and insulation. These bricks are wrapped in fiberglass-reinforced stucco and sealed with a waterproof coat—creating a strong, waterproof wall that’s easy to maintain and built to last.

Aircrete Core: Lightweight aircrete bricks serve as shape, structure, and insulation—all in one.

Fiberglass Stucco: Traditional cement-lime stucco is mixed with reinforcing mesh to create a rigid outer shell that adds crucial tensile strength.

Finish Coat: A final layer of plaster or sealant ensures water-resistance, UV protection, and long-term durability.

The aircrete center gives form and the fiberglass skin gives it strength. Alone, neither would hold up—but together, they create something strong and resilient.

how we're building stronger homes

What makes the Domegaia system truly different isn’t just the material—it’s how everything works together. These elements are what set our domes apart from traditional buildings:

Domegaia’s domes are reinforced in three key ways:

Dome Shape: Curves naturally spread pressure across the entire surface — helping your ceiling resist collapse during fires, earthquakes or high winds.

Mesh Reinforcement: Each dome is wrapped in a fiberglass mesh that strengthens the entire structure with a hard outer shell.

Waterproof Finish Coat: Our final exterior layer seals out moisture, shields against UV rays, and resists mold—giving your dome long-lasting durability with minimal maintenance.

These three features work together to make domes safer, stronger, and more reliable—no beams, no rot, and no worries.

The Aircrete Dome Advantages
